Zen Matcha Bar

Privacy Policy

What this policy covers

This policy explains what information Zen Matcha Bar collects when you use our website or mobile apps, sign in, or place an order, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to everyone who interacts with Zen Matcha Bar online.

Information we collect

  • Account details — your name, mobile number, and (optionally) email when you sign in or place an order.
  • Order details — items ordered, delivery address, preferences, and payment confirmation from our payment processor (Razorpay). We do not store your card or UPI credentials.
  • Location— with your permission, your device’s precise location is used to place the delivery pin on the map so we can find you accurately. We save the coordinates you confirm as part of the delivery address. You can decline and enter an address manually instead.
  • Device and notification details — app platform, device name, and notification token when you choose to enable order-status notifications.
  • Usage information — pages visited, actions taken (such as adding items to cart or starting checkout), device type, browser, and approximate city/state derived from your IP address. This helps us understand how the site is used and improve it.
  • Cookies and similar technologies — small files that keep you signed in, remember your cart, and let us measure site usage.

How we use your information

  • To process and deliver your orders.
  • To send order updates over SMS, WhatsApp, or email.
  • To improve the website and apps, fix issues, and understand which products and screens customers find useful.
  • To prevent fraud and keep the site safe (for example, by detecting unusual sign-in attempts).
  • To comply with legal and tax obligations.

Analytics and product measurement

We use PostHog to understand how people use our website and mobile apps and to improve their experience. This may include general usage details, such as pages and screens viewed, interactions, device information, and approximate city or state derived from your IP address. When you sign in, this activity is associated with your account. On our website we may also use session replay to identify usability issues; form fields are masked to protect your information. Payment details are never captured by our analytics.

Advertising measurement

If you accept marketing cookies, we use Meta tools to understand how our advertising performs. We may securely share limited information about website activity and purchases with Meta for measurement purposes.

We do not use Meta tracking when marketing cookies are turned off. You can review or change your choice at any time: .

Who we share information with

We share information only with service providers that help us run the business — currently Supabase (account and order storage), Razorpay (payment processing), our SMS/WhatsApp providers (order updates), our delivery partners (order fulfilment), PostHog (analytics), Sentry (error monitoring), Google Maps (address search and maps), Expo and Apple/Google push services (order notifications), Vercel (website and app hosting), and—only after marketing consent—Meta (advertising measurement). Analytics traffic may be routed through Cloudflare, PostHog’s infrastructure provider, and processed outside India before reaching our selected PostHog region. We do not sell your personal information.

Deliveries. To bring your order to you, we share your name, delivery address and a contact number with the delivery partner handling that order — currently Porter or Rapido — so the rider can reach you. They use these details to complete the delivery and are not permitted to use them for anything else.

How long we keep it

Order records are retained for as long as required by tax and accounting law in India. Account profile information is kept until you delete your account or ask us to delete it. When an account is deleted, completed order and payment records may be retained in anonymised form.

While you have an account, your analytics activity is linked to it. When you delete your account we also delete your analytics profile, including the name and email held against it. Usage records that remain are no longer linked to you or to any contact details, and are kept for up to 12 months to understand overall product usage.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to:

  • See what personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct anything that is wrong.
  • Delete your account and personal information (we may keep a minimum record of past orders for legal reasons).
  • Withdraw consent for marketing messages.

You can delete your account from the Zen Matcha mobile app or our account deletion page. You can also write to us at contact@zenmatcha.in and we will respond within a reasonable time.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we will change the “last updated” date above. Material changes will be flagged on the website.
